This spirit travels around as a cloud of sand, and can also move freely through the ground. Taking a solid form requires a lot of energy and cannot be maintained for long.
The spirit generally preys on the souls of greedy bandits and outlaws that get lost in the wastelands it inhabits. Inside the beast is a labyrinth of traps and treasures. Only a righteous and clever soul can outwit the traps and resist the curse bound temptation that lay inside the gullet of the beast. Anyone who falls inside the creature is absorbed by it as a source of fuel.
I'm tempted to write a little bit of lore for this and maybe draw a few more pictures. I wouldn't mind getting more shading practice in with this style.
