Alriighty here's my critique you asked for. :)
The first thing I notice is how washed out the picture is, that's most likely due to the scanner. If you have a program like GIMP (free for download) I would grab that and mess with the levels until it looks for like the original.
The line art seems faded, this can be fixed by giving it a second layer after you've colored the piece. I always go over the line art a second time after inking to make the image "pop". Try it sometime, it might surprise you!
As for anatomy, don't use other artists' art for this, you'll just make their mistakes. I tend to make my friends pose for me so I can draw from life. If no one else is available, grab some references photos from google. I LIVE my references, they're a ton of help!

In either case, I ought to practice more. I always feel like I'm caught off guard when I meet a deaf person, and can only remember "Nice to meet you!" and some of the basics. XP
It happens more and more as time passes, I need to go over some of my old notes.
