This is my first submission to Fur Affinity, and I am a virgin to this. So I would like to congratulate this moment for the first upload I've done to this website. I've been in the shadows of Fur Affinity for too long; now is the time answer the call to get involved.

This is a section of a fan fiction I call "Tales, from Balto", which - as you can surmise - is a fan fiction about Balto. However, I did not want to make a whole story about Balto and some type of adventure of his. I wanted to be creative and original (as a fortune cookie had told me I am). Thus, I wanted to explain some events, emotions, and back stories of the Balto Universe. Therefore, the title becomes much more evident.

This story right here explains Dukes childhood, history, and the events leading up to his arrival in Alaska. It does not cover every single aspect of Duke, yet should be satisfactory for even die-hard fans.

I know fan fiction in general is of variable quality, yet, despite anything to the contrary, I must beg for a speck of your attention to this. I have taken my free time while in school to finish this, and I would appreciate at least a minor read. I really do believe this is something.
