I couldnt stop thinking about hedgehogs so I had to draw one to be at ease. He looks like quite the little punk, but I'm sure he is actually quite sensitive.
All of my frequent characters are big female ungulate so maybe this little land sea-urchin would be a good way to shake it up?

I'm just. In love with this image. I love the way you designed him to keep the quills going down his back, you got the forehead quills just right too!! Not sure if that was intentional or stylistic but they can push them forward when they're mad to cover their face.
I think doing a character like this really compliments your style, seeing your skill with anatomy on the bare arms really is such a treat. Idk I'm just rambling now but god I love your work. Also Maxwell Grouse is so fucking funny to me for no reason. 'With Beetle' of course he likes this one. Bastardous

Awe I am glad he spoke to you so deeply!
I didn't know they could do that with their quills actually! In most photos Ive seen of them they seem to stick up sort of like a military buzz cut or a high top :0 I just gave him the little fauxhawk because I thought it was cute. In future illustrations of him, using his bangs to indicate expression would be a cute little touch
I love their weird bare hands, so I just HAD to incorporate that. I'm also a sucker for animal-adjusted real world marketing puns :') He seemed like the kind of hedgie that would like shitty coffee so I couldnt resist. I gone in wanting to create a bastard and I feel I achieved that <3
