We ate it regardless, but it was unsettling-- especially when I pulled it out of the fridge the next day and it was just this cold, viscous mass glopping down into my bowl.

I once used purple and red, as well as regular Orange carrots to try out a "Totally Vegetarian" Hot Dog recipe, and the result was carrots that tasted like hot dogs. I kind of liked the red carrots better, but the purple carrots had a bit more flavor.
