By David Koo of DA (https://www.deviantart.com/davidkoo), this is part two for Serina "Manta" Baraton.
Drifting into the dark abyss of the ocean, she would fall deeper and deeper, water filling her lungs while blood leaked from her cheeks and the deep wound in her chest as she crashed against the ocean floor, assured that in a few moments, she would drown or bleed to death, either way, she was sure she was to die down here.
However, as she lost consciousness, something she had hit had triggered; a strange box that had been broken when she fell as a strange device fell out. It glowed a soft blue as it detected her and with a burst of magical power, afixed itself into her chest, taking up the space that had been there and stablizing her before magicaly energy flowed from it, forming a tight fitting armoured suit, the likes the which Serina would have never seen before as it took temporary control of her body and swam her up to the surface at speeds the likes only the fish of the sea would have. Arriving soon at dry land, the suit laid her down before it turned back into blue energy that reseeded back into the core in her chest before the light dimmed.
She awoke some time later, unsure of what happened until she felt the feeling of cold steel between her chest and felt the core. She panicked for a few moments as she tried to see if it could be removed, but tunging on it only caused her pain, so she quickly stopped. After calming down, she managed to piece together that the thing now permanently attached to her chest had saved her life, yet its purpose, what it did or what it's true intentions were was beyond her knowledge.
Managing to make it to a port town and staying in the inn for a few days to recover from her injuries, she decided on a new goal; she would travel the lands and sea in search of someone who could unravel the mysterious of the strange device, to teach her how to use it and who originally created it as to ask why they created it or what's its ultimate goal was in bonding with her. However, those tales will have to wait for another time.
