I had bought a pocket watch on ebay to replace the cheap one I had. It was very nice and needed a chain, so I made one.
The chain is made from 18 gauge copper wire and the only parts I didn't make on this were both clasps.
That little neat looking thing in the top image was made by me and I am quite proud of it.
I flattened a piece of 4 gauge copper wire with a hammer, folded in half around a mandrel and then sawn down the fold to spread it apart and then I drilled a hole at the end to fit the clasp.
