You haven't read the books where things get really weird yet. Kathryn Lasky originally meant to write the first six, which tell the story with Soren and The Band and the Pure Ones and all that. But then she got sequel-itis and wrote another ten. Oh yeah, and two more books about the wolves, but they haven't shown up yet either. =^.^=
