Cicada was among the batch that had hatched shortly before the reformation of the whole Hive. So started out with the influence of what was expected of little changeling grubs, but then had to have it switched up for the more sensitive ways of the changedlings after reform.
It was a confusing and shaky period of being an impressionable youth, as the Hive for the longest time stayed divided between traditionalists and the reformed. Eventually all joined the same side to find a balance between both, under King Thorax and his general Pharynx.
