very nicely done!
I come from a town called Orel which for the most part of my childhood looked very nearly identical to Pripyat before the disaster, in fact many bits of it still remain the same. I have seen in photographs the fairground rides, which all seem both identical, and archaic in any town in Russia you may visit all rusted down in and abandoned, and it's these images of familiarity but so rotted and desolate give me funny feelings lol, it's both eerie and exciting at the same time, goodness knows I have an unhealthy fascination!
Anyway the point being you captured it beautifully!

Fascinating story, thanks for sharing. Even though these are just painting practices its still really interesting the personal meanings that they can have for others. I think a lot of people are really interested in stuff like Chernobyl, I wouldn't say it's an unhealthy fixation. :)
