A bit of art for Warcraft lore and a bridge to get me to stop spending long hours in WoW daily, a concept piece of Neltharion. This piece of artwork kicked me squarely in the behind, and I just can't take it anymore. I can't say I'm satisfied with it, but I've got more important things piling up that I need to work on, so out it goes!
Brief background: Neltharion is the Dragon Aspect of Earth, and progenitor of the Black dragonflight in Warcraft lore (for you WoWers, he is the father of Onyxia and Nefarian). He is the only Aspect to turn evil, constructing an artifact known as the Dragon/Demon Soul, whereby he stole all the other dragons' power and used it against them, decimating the other dragonflights' populations in battle. This same artifact corrupted him and twisted him, such was its intense power and evil.

Awesome piece. This is a great rendition of Deathwing after he had become truely corrupt and prior to his full-body armor plating. I especially love the fire and molten earth flowing off his body. He looks truely insane and in a considerable amount of pain.
