This is the first in what will hopefully be a 12-part series of what I call Isekai triptychs - each shows a "normal" person from our world, transported into a fantasy or sci fi world of some sort, adapting to that setting, then achieving and succeeding. I think that's why the isekai story structure has been so popular the past few years: it's fundamentally a story about hope.
