I think the looks give off a little different emotions, like the left is like "What, I'm tired of your shit already" and the right more tired of something caught her eye, not "what the fuck you want?"
Mainly the angle though I think, like if the painting was looking down just slightly like looking at the table, or the person was looking a bit more up, like they are looking at a person, it's match perfectly X3
