Atari 2600 30th Anniversary Part 1 - Hail To The King!
This year will mark the 30th Anniversary of the old 2600 from 1977 to 2007 and to celebrate this old unit Im posting a three part images of the 2600 and it games I love.
The year 1977: Star Wars was BLASTING the boxoffice, Disco was hitting the dance floor and Elvis had left the building "FOREVER" died at age 46 and the Atari relesceed a new console call The Atari Video Computer System (aka the 2600)
Some one ask me that out of 170+ game consoles I have even with the new units I have like Gamecube, PS2 and Xbox wicth one I have to pick just one of them my anser is The 1977 Atari VCS also known as The 2600 hands down! The 2600, has more than earned it's place in history. Selling over 25 million units, producing large numbers of enduring classics, helping establish the console market, and increasing the overall popularity of videogames. ! And Atari had gone to re-relase the 2600 call Atari Flashback 2.0 with 40 games build in and its the real hardware and not like the other fake controller plug-and-play crap. This is the king of all video game systems. Even today, a lot of its games, though more than basic, are suprinsingly quite addictive. Anyway if you can only pick one whats your fave console??

When you compare many games from Atari to current, you can find that their games were pretty fast. Also, they never concentrated on being able to be beaten, they just made them for fun. Games of current, many can get beyond anal over it, like it's a "Must" to beat it, or get over-zealous and throws a controller.
