‘Uhn,… uhh,… come,… on,… reach,…’
“Yeah,… that vine is definitely not getting any closer,…. But the surface of the quicksand is,… this could be a problem,…”
‘Stupid jungle,… stupid vine,… stupid quicksand,…’
*Splap!!*

The series continues with the eighth lovely image from the remarkable
toughset of my OC, Ember, currently up to her neck in trouble, literally, as the treacherous jungle quicksand continues to be an issue, but is this a helping hand come to her aid? What a great angle and perspective for this picture, it really gives a great sense of her continued straining to try to reach that vine, all the while showing how much deeper she has sunken, how much further away the vine now is, and how dire her situation has become. This picture really shows off her lovely super-long hair as it spreads and bunches up on the surface around and behind her, and I love how her bangs are curling against her arm and the surface, further giving a sense of their softness, and how the red-tips really catch the eye. The shading and shine are beautifully rendered, as always, notably on her hair and armband, and even on her eyes, as well as that ever-lovely tanned skin. The quicksand looks so wonderfully thick and gooey, and it’s great how you can see it closing in right around her raised arm and neck, as though her shoulders had just gone under and the ooze was slithering in over them, with the ripple on the surface accentuating that feeling of motion, and the little splash from the impact of the rope is a very nice touch. Of course what really stands out in this picture is her expression, you get a great feeling of curious interruption,… as she focuses intently on her struggles only to have the rope catch her attention from the corner of her eye, and her eyes move to see what it is, while the rest of her stays in the position she was, and her slightly raised right brow providing the perfect accent to her curious glance over, and the question mark provides the icing on the cake. Such a great moment, and beautifully captured by Toughset.
Another lovely addition to this amazing series.
Stay tuned and see what happens next.
What do you think? :D
