I found this in my desk at work. Someone heard about my...problem. Sorry about the quality of the pick, but it looks very real. It's made out of tootsie rolls. I'm definitely not going to eat that, though.

Depends on who did it and why. Was it some young kid who doesn't understand this isn't funny? I would confront the person privately and tell them how I felt. If the person was apologetic I'd let it go. If the person was an asshole, read on.
If it's someone just being cruel I would give the 'turd' to my supervisor, along with the name of the turd that put it there, and if the prankster wasn't written up or fired I'd go over the supervisor's head.

In that case he's far too old to be doing that sort of thing to anyone for any reason. That's the kind of think I'd expect from a teenager.
Does this guy have something personal against you or is he like this to everyone? How long has it been going on?
In any case, I'd take it to the supervisor and make it clear that if the harasser isn't fired I would take legal action. What he is doing is illegal.
