"Master-Lord is-is resting! Can't see you-you right now! Please, shouldn't wake-stir the warlord!" -Tegev, telling Hir'eka that she cannot visit Skilek.
Every warlord and chieftain has his own cadre of slaves and clanrats to serve him. Tegev is one such rat to be forced into the direct service of Skilek, a warlord of Clan Rictus. Although Tegev is regarded as a Clanrat among the ranks, he is still treated and regarded as nothing more than a lowly slave. Every rat is expendable, after all, and some far more than others. Fearing a painful death at the hands of his cruel warlord, Tegev works very hard to stay in Skilek's good graces, even going as far as to murder Skilek's other personal servants to show his bloodthirstiness to his master. Skilek is often a lazy sort, indulging himself on the service of said servants, and Tegev does everything from acting as a light source with his torch, to fetching food for his master, and even spying on the Clan Mors district of Skavenblight. After all, a skinny and weak clanrat draws less suspicion and is less-noticeable than a hulking and loud warlord. It is for that reason alone Skilek hasn't yet killed Tegev, as the warlord eagerly awaits valuable information on how to finally topple his rival, Gouge Tailrender.
Bit of a quick one today. I'll be sure to post more 'interesting' or 'flashy' characters in the near future, sorry! But consider leaving a fav or a watch if you're interested in my writing! More to come as always!
