A flash of the past, of long forgotten days.
Where all you knew was agony, as a battle shifted and raged
Of two people held in high esteem, though they surely would never know
For their focus was only for each other, and the hatred that would flow.
You sat there crying, as you watched
your emotions torn asunder
As your parents argued back and forth
their marriage now a seeming blunder
And for all the anger they displayed
of all the hatred thrown
