This was taken from the front seat of my truck. You can see the door in the top right of the photo. This faun is maybe a week old.

When I pulled around the corner there was the doe and faun were in the middle of the road. The doe hesitated a moment then bolted and the faun does what fauns do. It hunker down and try to hide.

This is private community back in the mountains but it was right on a corner and it would have been run over by those less observant. So I picked it up and put it on the side of the road in the tall grass and it bolted a few yards away and then hunkered down. So don't worry its was not hurt, just scared cause its little heart was just racing.
