Such a lovely game. The best rts ever created and the best space game. So classic.

So many moments from that game stuck with me. Tne opening with the music from barber's adagio. The bentusi's appearance. The garden of kadesh mission. The space junkyard with that killer ship. Just wonderful story and atmosphere like no other. I would watch harvesters for minutes on end, just quietly harvesting was wonderful to watch.

The theme for the Karos Graveyard(I think that's the level name....) with all the massive floating hulls, metal, junk and debris is something to behold for a first timer. <3

Yeah that wreckage was the size of death stars. Who left it? Who knows? It was amazing. I think what hw captured so well was the immensity of space, the pure quiet depth of the galaxy. With your tiny fleet of ships moving across it and trying to survive.

I read from my Warhammer rule book, a line that fits this topic: "The universe is a big place, and you will not be missed." I'd say that's a good summary of the scope and size of the Homeworld franchise. :v

Oh, god yes. How I love staging an ambush fleet JUUUUUUUUUUUST above where I expect a capship fight to break out, and send the bombers diving in. Death from above. <3

such a badass game. relic needs to get back to this and stop the dawn of war, and get back to their actual original storied game.

Relic and the DoW franchise stand up to scruitiny far better than the latest few versions of C&C, at least.

I'm not hating either, but C&C should have stopped with #3...and maybe one or two expansions. The 4th game is completely unecessary and I think we've all see what C&C has to offer by now. :/

honestly, I find the latest DOW (the 2, which features more squad thing than actually full fledged strategy like the first itinerations and its expansions..) as horrible.

Damn, I love homeworld, ^^ I'mma go play 2 again. heh I made so many mods for both it too. Home World, Home World 2 and Freelancer where my favorite games to make mods for, I tryed to play the X games and they just sucked big donkey balls.

I have such fond memories of this game...

Even though I'm a Kushan (Hiigaran) Fan I do love this. The angle immediatly makes me think of the Taidanii attack in the opening level of cataclysam so I also get a great beat in my head. And a reminder of why these games are still so ingrained into me. Everything is executed so well... sound, motion, music. That it can go from lip biting intense to almost dreamlike. Plus any and every other mix besides. And also I'd add yet nother request to please draw more of it should the mood take you.

Damn, that's awesome. One of my favorite games ever. I honestly wish they would re-release games like this, just upgrade the graphics and coding a bit to be compatible and that's all it'd need to work on current PCs.

Very good! I'd love a remake of the first game and Cataclysm, seeing as newer computers don't really like to run them.

homeworld was a fun game, but personally, I prefer homeworld 2. ship designs were awesome, and game play was fun. hiigaran are by far the best. can't remember if the kushan or the taidan ended up being hiigaran

Kushan > Hiigaran.

I wish the HM1>HM2 mod I was following hadn't fallen apart, they were making good progress.
