This has been a long time coming ever since I started to have ideas back in November or sooner. Done by PunkCrowley , who I REALLY have to thank for helping me bring her to life, I give you all a new character I want to do more with. Let's meet Hydrangea or Gia for short! The artist doesn’t have a Twitter account as far as I’m aware of, so if you wish to check out Punk’s FA, please do so for making this!
Hydrangea is an odd Lucario who sports a laid back and somewhat easy going lifestyle in Nasaruh’s city by being a worker for a ramen noodle shop. She’s considered odd as she happens to be a rarity amongst most Pokemon culture: A Fusion or, alternatively, a Hybrid. Her mother is a Lucario and the father a Leafeon, but through some miracle, Hydrangea became that special child these parents wanted in their lives and did the best they could to raise her. She lives on her own now after getting good support from her folks and finding the confidence to be an adult, albeit in her own way. She comes off as chilled and relaxed to many and hardly gets upset over much long as it doesn’t affect her status. There are times where she can be aloof in her own thoughts, but she still means well regardless if she sometimes doesn’t pay attention to others. However, there are aspects about her that do hinder her quite a bit.
For starters, unlike most Lucario and perhaps other Hybrids like her, Hydrangea has been dealing with the case of having a low amount of Aura her whole life, which Riolus and Lucarios would grow to develop more naturally as they get older. Gia, however, hasn’t been able to grow her strength in Aura from birth to now as her Leafeon part of her prevents her from keeping that Aura intact. Grass types have the ability to provide support for the land around them, so imagine what happens when Gia often disperses her Aura into soil or cement? It could either make grass and plants grow or the ground to suddenly crack apart from some grass seeping through it. She has been able to control this dispersal with practice, but she still has a tendency to do it every now and again when she gets too tired or even lazy, which is another adverse affect on her. Due to being low on Aura quite often, Gia grew to be somewhat lazy despite her upbringing in life. To help remedy her low Aura count, she often eats food infused with small amounts of concentrated Aura, which has become quite popular amongst Aura users in the city. As one can guess, this has left Gia with a hefty body all around, but she doesn’t seem to care about her physique all too much long as she can still go on for the day. And given that she is part Grass type, maintaining a balanced figure doesn’t prove to be a challenge for her since she goes out roughly every day. Especially when it comes to a friend she hangs with in their down time.
That friend happens to be Akulau, a rather hefty anthro Luxray people in the city heard about for being an odd streamer. Ever since she was around 10, Gia and Aku have been friends for being odd looking Pokemon, but that doesn’t stop them from being citizens. Even if Aku may be the weirdest one for binging food on a live stream for the entertainment of others, Gia makes sure her friend is kept in check. Had he not had her in his life, he may have been worse for his health overall. What’s more, these two are quite the stand out for contributing to the world around them in some way shape or form. Who knows what these two might get up to when demons come to visit the city.
