Last year, I came across an anime titled, "The Guin Saga", about a leopard headed warrior. Furry in me was like, "yes to all of this" and binged it.
Had some issues but was pretty decent. Turns out, it was an adaptation of the novel series by Kaoru Kurimoto so, picked those up.
They're excellent reads for anyone looking for a pure fantasy adventure.
