This is my former picture of my fursona, Paladin the Fox by
For a while I had been looking for something to represent my fursona. As you can see from other pictures that friends have done on their profile, I had a few done of me, but they were really light-hearted silly things for trades and furry RPs, so this is the first serious picture of my fursona, and the one which will be representing me from now on.
This was done with great customisation on my part. Leon drew some bits then sent me scans so I could dictate what he would draw next. Let me explain what Paladin is wearing.
Despite the name of "Paladin", I like to think of my fursona, and indeed, my roleplaying class of Paladin's in almost every game where I play one, as more of a gritty combat veteran who has seen too many battles, rather than they generic Paladin who is a shining example to all. Paladin is still a fox who does good and is always trying to do what is right, but he is dry, sarcastic and often sceptical of most people and life in general.
When it comes to the law, Paladin believes that good actions and deeds should take priority over the law. He believes that if the only way to destroy a great evil is to ally with a lesser evil, then so be it. If the law must be broken to save a life, then that is what must be done. Paladin sees the law as guidelines rather than something which should never be followed blindly. In D&D terms (because I'm often asked by people to align him) Paladin would be Neutral Good.
If you look at what he is wearing, then you'll see that he's not wearing shining plate mail which is often what you think Paladins would wear. This is deliberate. I wanted to show the darker side of Paladin. He wears badly maintained leather armour, which you can see had the right arm missing and several stitches to it. On his left shoulder, he has a rusty iron paldroun which is found and strapped to his armour to add extra protection. The leather gloves are also in need of repair. His legs are just dark green cotton trousers offering little protection, with a hole in the back for his two tails and his boots are leather.
On his head he wears adventuring goggles. I, like a lot of people, love goggles. They give an adventuring feel and as you can see, the left glass is cracked a little, which I feel adds to the dark aspect, rather than being clean and maintained. His face has a few scars, which so a sigh of the battles he has fought. You can also see that he has lost the top of his left ear. Again, having part of his ear missing shows that he his battle worn and I think it really adds to the gritty theme. Although you can’t see it from this angel, Paladin has long copper/reddish hair in a pony tail, down to his waist.
You can see that I don’t have any traditional weapons such as swords or daggers. In fact, Paladin is a bit more modern, even though I really like fantasy settings. While RPing with Leon which is set in Zaris, a world he created who’s technology is on pair with ours today, I adjusted Paladin to the role, so I have two weapons in view.
On his back is a black pump-action riot shotgun which he uses for close range or group attacking. He rarely uses it though, since it’s a powerful weapon and the shells are expensive. The weapon at his side is a black metal 9mm pistol, which he uses more often. The pistol is his default weapon and the shotgun is the weapon he pulls out if he is in real danger and needs the fire power. Paladin should also have about a dozen daggers attached to the belt which goes down his torso, but Leon said he was not able to do such detail, but that does not matter as much.
Anyway, please tell me what you think of this picture, and visit Leon's page, because he is awesome and composes electronic music which you must hear.

The design is cool but I have a few qualms about it.
As bad ass as it is, there are a lot of cliches there.
The scars on his face look cool but they're too close together.
And two tails? Where havn't we seen that? In almost every fox fursona and some fox characters in anime.
And what's the strap on the chest for? It seems pointless.
Also wouldn't an automatic rifle be a more useful then a 22 pistol? It's more accurate and easier to control.
Pistols are for close quarters combat, and there's already a shotgun on your back so why not have something to use at a greater distance?
And what's with the one shoulder pad? Why not have a shoulder pad on both shoulders?
What are the goggle for? They seem purely ornamental.
Other than that I like the design, I like the type of clothes it's simple and doesn't draw attention, instead of complicated and loud.

lol.
While your comments are understandable, I think your taking it too seriously.
I don't really care about clieches, so long as I like it.
What do you mean the scars are too close togeather. YOu can't ask your enemy to please make the scars look nice. xD
And you know why I have two tails, dude. I'm a massive fan of Tails from Sonic, always have been, not becasue other people like it.
The strap on the chest is to hold the paldroun on as well as to hold the daggers were where not drawn in, in the end.
And yes, an auto-rilfe would be more useful, but I don't like haveing to heavy weapons. The shotgun is the heavy weapon and the pistol is the every-day weapon. I like to have more small arms than I do heavy.
The shoulder padd, called a paldroun, is there becasue he only found one, as I said in the description. Also, having only one looks more badass.
And the goggles are purely ornimental, but I love goggles. They make him look adventourus. xD
And yeah, they were the kinda clothes I'm looking for.
