I really like your voice-- come to think of it, your voice reminds me of the singer from the Psychedelic Furs. Anywho, love the song. I seen in the info that your looking into dance rock. If thats the case, then I can totally see that happening. Maybe its just the musician in me bouncing around in my head, but those throbbing synths you typically hear in club remixes seem to fit here.

I was looking at doing the 'synth' parts via an old guitar effects box, but the box doesn't want to work. It's probably because it's older than the eighties. :D
