You know, she and Loki from the Avengers series would get along pretty well; he doesn't exactly like Frost Giants either, he's only half Frost Giant, and let's just say Loki's Giant father was also a dick; basically leaving Loki to die just because he was the smallest and weakest of them.
...Yeah, obviously she's not a magician or a prankster Goddess, for one thing, and I doubt she's as slick and manipulative as Loki is. By the way, is she one of those people where you have to gradually work your way at chipping through her layers of ice? Janval seems like that kind of girl who'd probably be indifferent to any attempt at flirting or socializing, at first.
And my counter to that is just merely introducing myself the first time 'round, maybe a "I appreciate it. Just call me Ixner, and as for why I thought it was a good idea for traveling underprepared... I didn't think at all, apparently." if it were me she were saving from the cold.
