After my flipflops failed, I took them back to the drawing board. The end result are some brightly coloured footies to protect Innuk's footpaws. The toe doesn't curl under, and doesn't shift around under the foot as much either. They came in handy when fursuiting before sidewalks can dry off.

The straps are nylon straps, with velcro closures, and some tough plastic loops. the soles are durable, and are presently being tested for length of use.
