Told you I was tempted to re-try this drawing. This is the same picture of Spunky in his mother's pouch that I found so irresistible yesterday ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/40290244/ ). This time I'm using my 'Kelly pen', which has the kinds of tapering that is supposed to make it resemble the generic Walt Kelly line. There's a few bits of technical pen used to connect points that need to be simpler. I worked from the same base sketch so things like Spunky's head being larger just shows how little control I have over what I do draw.

I think I like this one better, though. I don't think I do appreciably better on the shapes although surely the extra practice helped a little. But the brush seems to me to have a softer feel, and make for a picture I like better.
