Description:
It was sunset as the alphess made her way to her favorite rock, it was on top of another rock, and so when she climbed up there she had the advantage of height, it was one of her favorite places to be. She usually was found up here contemplating life, or thinking about things she could do for the day. Today she was just contemplating the idiots that existed in the world. She'd seen so many of them the last few weeks, months, and she was just about fed up with idiocy. She just wanted to be left alone to live her life, without the opinions of others seeping into the pages of her story. She knew what she had to do, and that was just ignore all the voices that seemed to think they knew better than her. She put her paw to her muzzle and just sighed, looking out at the expanse of her and her mate's beautiful territory. Sunset was a wonderful time she knew, and she sometimes could hear the ocean in the distance, and on a really special, and lucky day, the scent of the ocean filled the territory. It wasnt too far, she could wander down if she wanted to, but for now she was happy just staying put.

Artist's Notes:
I dont, actually know where to start with this picture. It took about 3 hours start to finish, I had this idea, since I wanted to challenge myself on expressions and poses, so I picked this one since it was a familiar one ( Scar from the Lion King ) just my idea of it, and this came out. I know the background really isnt befitting the mood of the picture but I also wanted to try and mess around with backgrounds, learn more skills to make them more dynamic. All I can say is that regardless, I am so proud of this, I tried to make the rock look as real as possible too, which was fun, and I left the purple tint from the background on it to give it depth, and lighting. You dont understand how it feels to not draw for a really long time and then sit down and whip something like this out, I just.. am so proud of myself. Even if its not the best, even if I struggled like hell and the anatomy is still not quite right, I am proud of how this came out, and almost want to cry because its the best art I've done in a very, very long time, and it gives me hope that I can do it, I can practice, and I can make my art dreams come true. I just, am in awe of myself and it feels wonderful <3
