My wife and I had been going together for the better part of a year, so on her 32st birthday in May of '73, I bought her a nice emerald ring. (Her birthstone). The next time she went back East to visit her folks, her Mother (who didn't miss much) spotted the ring and asked where she got it. After being told, she stated "What are you doing that prompts men to buy you such gifts?" Her reply was "None of your business Mother!"

*laughs... now that does figure... when I was in the Coast Guard out of Boston, I met Charlie Friend. He took me under his wing, and I spent many weekends at his place in New Hampshire. His wife, Becky was an old time country girl and she had a whole set of the things. She showed me what you needed to do to care for them.

Really loving these vignettes of the Whackadoodle Inn! Hopefully I can soon get to the point in my own story where Trevor ends up there. (What? He isn't one to go on non-canon adventures. He's got a lot of responsibility as a Wielder of Earth and Space-Time, and non-canon hijinks would be an abuse of that power! )

Miss Bering came from  bering She is a very capable writer in her own right, and the allowance of her character at the Whackadoodle Inn was so very generous of her... she is a good friend...

Yes I think you are right about that, it use to be you could find most everyone in the Sunday Funny Papers... anymore as crazy as things have become by design I don't know if there people in the funny papers that crazy.

Yes! I have to read it a few more times to visualize a scene in particular, but the general idea of depicting indoor scenes with multiple characters is appealing =3

I could have sworn you uploaded a very similar story involving exposed ankles and women's stockings some years back. Either way, this was a pleasant little story.

I do believe it does a good job showcasing each of the Inn's staff quite well too, especially Vixyy and Buns.
