Raava is Rayla's Familiar. Before Rayla and Raava became Ethereal Magic users. Raava was just a normal hippocampus pet. Common to have around at the time of their mortal lives. And Rayla was but a farmers daughter in their pagan village in Greece. War had uprooted in her mid twenties. A barbaric raid was unleashed upon her village and everyone was slaughtered. The goddess of the moon looked down upon her followers lifeless bodies and picked out Rayla and Raava's souls. Purifying them and granting them life once more.
