Brainstorming some ideas for my new pirate queen, "Scripps" Shih! Species is a big ol ???? but she looks cool and has hoof fingers so who cares lol. Pirate of a single beloved ship, a 130' vessel whose name is still a WIP (originally called the SV Hatchetfish, but the flag underwent some changes so back to brainstorming hah). Flag is an orange silhouette of a pelican eel in the center with 8 vampire squid tentacles extending up from the bottom, on a black background. The corners each have a golden triangle, which is metallic and glints in the sun, a bold beacon to everyone that the predatory ship is approaching. They announce their arrival with the flashy reflection and fear no crew, fleet, or government.

Scripps is lithe, large, egotistical, fierce, reckless, short sighted. Hates having to dock but loves a good fresh meal. All about the sea and treats the ocean with respect. Strong swimmer, clever with knots and great working the lines, but terrible at navigation and not particularly good at expressing herself with speech (it makes giving commands a bit troubling at times). Conditions aren't superb on the ship, and the other pirates know she prioritizes the vessel over them, but her hunger for riches and time on the open sea are very convincing reasons to keep her crew happy and loyal.

She doesn't care for sea shanties.
