I got a few requests to upload pictures of all my shit I was going to through into an outfit for my fursuit. So I thought I would take a picture of everything throws together and give a discription for everything in one submission vs taking an individual pic of each item. So heres one of a few pics of all my stuff.
these are the prides of my collection of random military shit.
On the left is a MOLLE PACK II, rated to hold 125 lbs of shit. It has its pros and cons but its the best backpack I have every used. It used to be standard issue for the Marines and the Army, but the army's evolved and the Marines phased it out, for the ILBE Pack, something I am trying to add to my collection as well. Anyway I were this for hiking and putting my school books in.
On the right is a CIRAS plate carrier. You can put in SAPI plates and as most of you would say "bullet proof it" but in technical terms, alone the kevlar is rated for level II protection, which will stop anything short of a .44 or .375 cal round. You'll have to double check me on that. But with a Level III stand alone plate you can make it resisitant to 7.62x54mmR with non concentrated groupings. Witha level IV Plate you can stop all those rounds short of 7.62 x 54, but armor peircing. Oh yeah, but, his is a replica. But I can still fit in real plates but I am not going to. This is all for show.
Anyway that is all my shit that I am going to put into my fursuit. Minus several things for conveinience. And for the note, this is not actually all my stuff, I still got 3-color-desert cammies, and a bunch of other stuff. Alice Pack, yadayada. Oh, I forgot to include a picture of my Desert Rough Out boots, they go with the suit idea.

Ya you caught me. Alot of stuff is for airsoft. But I started collecting stuff for a fursuit long before I though about joining this airsoft phenomena.
And as for the Ciras, it was not my first pick, Nor my favorite tac vest. If I want anything its a MTV vest as fielded to the marines. or even an SPC or OTV. But the real deals sell for way too much, and for their cost I could "buy my faggy coveted fursuit". Even on ebay they want a several hundred for them used. Replica vests are the same drama, way too much. But Ciras flood the market and since MARSOC uses them at times, and they look alright, i was like what the hell it was cheap for what its worth.

Ciras are Top shelf type vests, they take BALCS cut inserts and sapi plates and cummerbund......USGI Wasatch is mid tier Plate hangar and is widely used in all branched because its simple. efective and cost effective. its also more comfortable and easier to move around when your plate isnt sewn against your Balcs and can free form shift.

I've come across these on forums n such. I admired their looks. and tbh a LVAC is on my christmas list for an op-for look. But i am moving on from vests to head gear and communications equipment.

get an ACH, or a Mich 2000 with the Headset cut. they look like the tanker helmets.
LWH is still duspended by leather straps. both of the above have foam/gel pads tha make it more pleasing to wear while the leather in the LWH digs into your skin and grows an untreatable stink. or get a PASGT helmet with a padded foam retrofit or an RBR helmet.
ACH, MICH 2000 with coms and boonies. or a cap.

your reffering to the LWH's suspension system like the old pasgt's? cause they do also make pad's for them instead also just like the army's MICH, But as for the 4pt chinstrap i would just have to tolerate the leather on it. Tough it out, its not Like I am actually going to be doing any real covert warfare stuff in my backyard at this point.

And i have a genuine PROPPER desert marpat boonie with Embroided EGA. But like said, looking for a helmet. Boonie isn't going to do anything if I am dropped on my head. I'll work something out. I just don't like the ACH or MICH because they don't have the notorious "lip" on the front of them. If anything, the PASGT like you said with some upgrades to the suspension and a MARPAT covering would fair better.
