A portrait of David Bowie as the Goblin king from Labyrinth.
I love that movie. One of my all time favorites. I used to have a crush on the Goblin King when I was a wee lass ;3
This was obviously photo referenced. Chalk pastel was used as a base color, then I added detail with colored pencil. All on cardstock. I had a hard time getting the pastel to go on the cardstock, thats why it looks so scratchy 9.9 . I want to add sparklies to his jacket after. I didn't bother waiting for the sparkles to upload, sparkly shit scans bad anyways.
The hair looks like ass. I didn't have the right base color/colors to begin with. But I'm a portrait noob afterall. And this was pretty rushed, I've been working on it for about 3 days now on and off , a few hours a day and I only have a few weeks to finish the rest of my portfolio. So I had to draw a line and rush somewhere to finalize this.
This is like my second portrait in color ever, and my first using the pastel colored pencil layering technique. My brother loves it though so if it doesn't sell it'll be framed in his room.
I realised I love doing portraits =), id really like to practice more!
I miss doing anthropomorphic and fantasy art ;_; , its coming soon! 5 portfolio pieces left. Then onto commissions, personal art and stuffs.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I'm dying to see it! O_O
David Bowie = awesome x infinity.
This is AMAZING. It looks like Daid Bowie in every aspect. Yeah the hair does look a bit off, but I'm not one for criticizing. There is no way in Hell I'd be able to do anything this spectacular. Mucho kudos.
