I think it goes without saying that I am super not into the design of Disney's new dragon character Sisu at all. They straight up re-used the Rapunzel rig AGAIN and reshaped the face to make it look mildly dragon-like.

DISCLAIMER: If you like Sisu, that's cool! Some people like basic and cute and OOH PRETTY SPARKLES!! And that's A-okay! Same with 'Frozen'. It's got the same issue but it's pretty and the songs are good so, go for it. Sing 'Let it Go' to your heart's content!
But as someone who appreciates good and innovative character design, this just hurts me. Disney used to create female characters who were different and interesting and had different features. But, ever since they reused Rapunzel's model for EVERY MAIN FEMALE CHARACTER IN 'FROZEN' and it became a huge hit, they've really fallen into a same-face, cookie-cutter trend and it's so damn annoying.
That being said, I'm oddly attached to my Dumb-fuck Sisu. XD

It is getting really bland and I dislike it. I also thought Frozen was pretty flat as a whole. I did love the idea of real love also being family though. Not enough movies validate things that aren’t romantic.
I guess with 3D they’re finding it really easy to just reuse assets. Kind of a shame.

I thought that too. All the budget was thrown at the pretty snow and ice and the storyline was just kinda... eh. I'm like you, I adore the idea of family love being more important than romantic love. I just wish they'd done it better and taken more time to develop the characters, y'know?
