So since I've been reviewing old notes from when I was last working on the Pulse Canon notes on these guys popped up and I decided to entirely rework them from what they were to line up with current dragonscape lore and to be similar to that of the Reset Canon.
Starir (sta singular) Are spirits that have fed on enough mana to take on a physical form, often appearing as a serpentine "hole in reality" held together by bands of manastone. Starir only occur in particularly mana heavy places such as Swamps and Rainforests, or around particularly mana heavy environments such as around manapools or voicelakes where they can feed on the ambient manafog.
They're generally there to mind their own business and feed on mana, and bothering them will often result in a lot of dangerous magic headed your way so it's just better to leave them be. They are generally immensely rare so they are not the sort of spirit that you would see much in any individual lifetime, so seeing one is quite the incredible sight to be sure!
There are drek tribes who often worship them as a lot of things, and there are also tribes who hunt them down for similar religious, cultural, or ideological reasons. But regardless they certainly exist!

Essentially, powerful elementals.
Elementals in that game generally only appeared in areas that were rich in their respective energy. Entities in particular were somewhat rare to see, usually only appearing in extreme weather.
Regardless, all of them were peaceful unless attacked first, or unless you interrupted their feeding by using magic; in which case they would quickly show you what real magic looked like.

I think the idea was that only certain weather conditions stirred up the elemental energy enough to support things as powerful as entities. So you'd only find a Gnoma Entite (Earth) in a sandstorm, whereas you'd only see a Mardu Entite (lightning) in a thunderstorm.
In this case, I was particularly reminded of Leamonde Entites (darkness), which could only be found in the toxic fog produced by a fantastic nuke.
