After once again going rouge, Shadow allowed himself to become his former rival Sonic's prisoner. He agreed that he would do whatever he desired, though he'd never imagine that this would be his fate. Using Tail's shrink ray, Sonic gave Shadow the punishment he deserves.
It's been three months, and all Shadow has known is living inside Sonic's shoe, trapped between his toes and only given sweat to drink. On this day, Sonic allows his pet to gaze out at the world lost to him, still tightly held by the massive, blue toes. Shadow finally realizes that this is the end. This is his new life, and he will never know another one. Sonic slips back on his shoes, and decides to keep them on for a few years.
