Yep, I still fence when I can. I don't think I ever anticipated being alive in my 30s, let alone still fencing in my 30s, and actually being *good* at it in my 30s.

No - I'm not sure which Uprising you meant? This is one of the few Faires I get to, up in Vallejo.

I used to be vaguely affiliated with the SCA back east, but moved before I became a formal member. This is at the Vallejo Pirate Festival, which is kind of like a goofier but more compact Ren Faire.

Why did you not think you'd be alive in your 30s? that's a rather young age to be dead.

Also for some reason you kind of remind me of Uncle Kage in this picture..

Eh, you know, the usual 20-something and younger, just can't imagine being older, figured something would take me out early.

People have told me I look a lot like Kage. I don't know the guy well enough to decide whether I think this is flattering or not.
