Ref Sheet: Jennie the Satin Lab Mouse
One of my newer OC's. A couple of you may remember a feral sketch I drew of her some months back: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/36864020/
Jennie is an unlucky mouse who happened to be chosen out of a batch of prized Satin Mice, known for their especially unique, silky, glossy fur. The project that she was selected for was running low on applicable rodents for testing, so the organization of scientists decided to invest larger funds to purchase a litter of rare mice that were originally meant to be sold as high-class pets, sometimes known as "Fancy Mice."
The world once promised to them, made of all manner of luxuries, a paradise where they'd never be forced to survive, became a harsh, dark, painful reality that the young mice had no way of escaping. All but Jennie failed the ensuing experimentations to genetically splice animals from Earth with creatures touched by "Void Magic" or "Space Anomalies."
Ironically enough, the creature Jennie find herself spliced with comes from the blood of a Space Unicorn, who addresses herself as Princess "Galaxi" Sugarstar, but the nature of Jennie's circumstances are far off from some childish fantasy, and closer to a never-ending nightmare.
Unsurprisingly, Jennie now takes on a general attitude of resignation, as though nothing matters at all. This allows her to be quite fearless when something threatens to harm her, as well as remain calm and cool-headed during most emergency situations.
Short backstory. Figured I'd give it a whirl, even if it's a tad dark. ^^; Feel free to ask any questions about her!
Bonus Facts:
- Originally, Both of Jennie's Eyes were Magenta; Only after the procedure of splicing Galaxi's genes with Jennie's did the ash-gray mouse gain heterochromatic eyes.
- Jennie's Earrings are made out of the leftover Metal Restraints that were once used as her Electric Cuffs.
- Jennie and Lyra (my Main Chimera Fursona) knew each other for years before parting ways for a decade; they were both Experiments of the same Science Organization (TBN).
