These used to be a pair of plain white Lonsdale Converse copies. But I decided to make them a bit funkier and put some original artwork on them. They belong to my boyfriend who has mahoosive feets, I think he's really pleased with the makeover I gave his shoes.

Here's how I did it:
I drew my design on the canvas with a pencil then painted the design with acrylics. When the acrylics were dry I outlined it all with a black Sharpie. Finally I gave both the shoes a coat of clear craft lacquer. And voila... funky new shoes.
