The irony is too strong here... Half-shameless plug, half-calling myself out.
In a twist of fate I actually drew that several months ago to keep my head together, but things got so very dire IRL.
This was also meant to be uploaded post-comic but my motivation's running on empty.

Glad the series isn't over. And in my opinion, I think any topic can be broached regardless of current political affairs, so long as the material itself is kept to it's own world if that makes sense. Like if you wanted to make a comic that had something bad happen, but the bad thing also happened in real life. So long as you don't tie it in or relate it to what happened in real life it's its own thing and is just fine.
