That it was. I recently purchased a DVD of his last movie - Yellowbeard. Marty Feldman, Cheech Marin, Tommy Chong and about half the cast of Monty Python in a comedy film... falls flat on its face. Watch it sometime, it has its moments but it just didn't work.

Yeah, Marty's movies could be rather uneven. I caught "Beau Geste" and "In God We Trust" in the theaters, hoping for the same spark as YF, and came away disappointed.

Did like him in that one with Gene Wilder - Sherlock Holmes Younger Brother. Snuck into that one as a kid - paid admission for some crappy kids film, slipped into that film after a couple of minutes - no one noticed. Laughed myself sick then didn't see it for ages till I got it on DVD last year. Was amazied I still remembered the dialog and gags

Hehe kinda miss the days of small local theatres that ran dollar movies - you could ride your bike to them on the weekend or in the summer and have fun.

Still liked Frau Blucher's reason for sticking around at Dr Frankenstein's castle: "He vas my Boyfriend!!"

Always suspected he had made her.... Loved her delivery of lines in that film - actually saw it before the classic 1930s Frankenstein - I tend to laugh at certain scenes in that one because of that Mel Brooks version.
