Sooo, I've been working on getting better with my digital art. I'm trained as an oil painter, so digital confuses the fuck out of me X3 So I did this to practice. It's kind of the first piece I've done as a painted piece. I know it's a big improvement from my previous stuff, but man i hate this thing now. X3;
Not sure where to go wtih it, so I'm going to move onto my next piece. I do like this character, a lizard thing, so.. will probably be seen again in the future :D

The Pencil Runner - these majestic dragons are known as such not for their limbs, which are far from thin, or any likingness to pencils, lead, or ink that could be produced. Their name originates from the sharp, pointed tools these reptiles are usually seen holding out beside them, like a child imitating flight. Due to the tendency of actual pencils being stolen for this practice, it is advised to artists to keep a very close eye on their writing impliments, as well as to have a tight lock on their supply, lest they be looted by these tree faring bandits. In a bit of irony, Pencil Runners are also frequent makers of ground etchings as communication, a fact discovered only recently.
...yeah, just couldn't help myself here. Anyways, this' quite nice Dreamous, and if you did it digitally, well more points for you then. Seriously, I tried digital art with a pad once. Never picked the damned thing up again (good thing it wasn't mine. ). As for where you go with this, well, I dunno. Maybe you could have him looking into a camera, being all cute and inquisitive?

Heh, well, I just thought to write what I really thought about this pic...and what I thought of was that description. To be honest, I was kinda hoping that I'd be able to make more of those whenever I saw this little guy next. I'd probably make it like a documentary in progress, perhaps even with a few other "Pencil Runners" raiding his stash of writing implements.
Just out of curiosity's sake, Dreamous, how big IS this little guy?
And I'm glad that you liked the little blurb I added there, man. Always going for the smiles, ya know, whether they be internal or digital.

Oh, I see. Well, they're rather LARGE needles then...knitters beware. The Runners are here...*breaks down and laughs out loud* Okay okay, so I took a few liberties there. At least the end result was something we were both a little satisfied with, in any case. Heh, you know, I'd thought of this guys more being around the size of a house cat...but now that I think about it, it probably doesn't make that much sense that way.
Hm...I wonder if I should be making this an intentionally satirical series of documentaries...
