Hey everyone, it's the final Farce for the month. It was a great month to start out but eventually it has to come to a close, so we'll end it off with a nice Maduro from Room 101.
FARCE Maduro Robusto:
Wrapper: San Andres Mexican Maduro
Binder: Ecuadorian Sumatra
Filler: Nicaraguan, U.S.
Pre-Light/Construction:
From the looks of the stick, nice, sleek, shiny, and overall well made. For a Maduro this clean, it was hard to analyze but understandable to read. As well with the Sakura Flower symbol, only with dark navy blue, white, and gold. Dark, but subtle in tone. The touch was almost smooth and a small bit of tooth to it. Veins and Seems were near invisible, but still present. The scent was almost like velvet in sweet cedar and earth. Something a bit different in tone. Pre-Slice was a bit snug, but had some vibrant flow. Let's light her up!
The Burn Part 1:
The first few puff were very gentle in sweet cocoa notes. Along with it were some sharp but subtle pepper notes as well. Always love a good sweet and spicy combo in the beginning. Almost sort of a compliment to the coffee I had in the morning. I always drink my coffee black. Kind of gotten out of the whole cream and sugar thing for awhile, unless a once in awhile holiday creamer comes around. There was some cedar notes in the background. Not much, but gave off the natural notes that you would expect. So far a nice medium start to this maduro.
The Burn Part 2:
As the stick went down more and more of the draw became looser. Alot more smoke in other words. The sweet and spicy combo became more vibrant in texture. The cedar however became a little more aged, like a darker oak. Thickness was the point of this stick and it was massive in that amount. Like an even layer in paint, but more like icing on a cake. Soon some subtle coffee notes came into play. More of a compliment to the coffee I be drinking. Mainly this point, the body is in between medium and full body, but no point of it being overbearing.
The Burn Final:
At this point of the stick after a bit of a purge, the notes were a little more loose from the thick coating, but with more of a relaxed note in lighter pepper. Mainly the idea of mellow and smooth is still the road this stick paves even to the near end. As the last few puffs came to an end, the main flavor notes to make a tie of course were the cocoa and the pepper. With that being done I put in the ashtray outside before going in to do some artwork.
Verdict:
Smooth, Rich, Velvety Sweet. Mainly a contender for either a morning or desert stick for any occasion. If you see this particular stick, grab you a few pieces and save them for a relaxing time.
Next Month: Room 101 Month 2
See you guys then.
