I just assumed it was concealed by their hand. or perhaps it's a semi auto inspired by a LAR.
Upon further inspection it's probably the latter seeing as the guy half off screen has a self loading pistol plus the neon sign. Could be turn of the century where you start seeing a lot of experimental guns for semi and bolt actions as well as 1800s or just a fictional world entirely.

Quick question, they use the rifle right handed, but the holster for what I assume is a handgun is on the left hand side. Wouldn't it be better to be on the right? I don't know much about guns, just a thing I started thinking about.
