Mood Music - A Battle With Friends
Digimon Cyber Sleuth is a game. It's not entirely a great game, but it's good for Baby's First SMT; filling the gap between the insultingly easy Persona games and the Hard as Dicks ShinMegamiTensei series. It's a bit too grindy for my taste, but I do really like this track simply for its sound direction. The first half is a character's hype theme, rocking out and pumping up. But come the climax boss, the game lets the track continue to play, turning it into this sort of weary "please let me win" sort of music. A battle where neither side wants to fight, but neither side will back down either. I suppose you could also go for Persona Q - Friends Outtake, but I like the simplicity of Hacker's Pride more for this one.
Next up will be an RPG Interlude, since we have technically finished the 3rd and 4th stratums of the game. After that, a charge into the final chapters! It's final dungeon time!

So let me get this straight
As Samuel was falling apart, his failsafe(s) triggered, half of (what was left of) him went into Treehouse Monty, the other half, inspired by his sister, went into this Other Monty, and now they’ve recombined, but they’re not Samuel anymore? Something new?
