"I NEVER allowed this operation! You acted in my back!" bellowed angrily the colonel Guillaume Seras in the STAT base of Versailles.
In front of him, two commanders lowered their heads.
"Can I know what the hell went through your heads?!"
"We had been searching for this missing part of the SANS project for months! We finally found it back, what were we supposed to do, do nothing?!" protested one of the commanders.
"YES!!" barked the colonel. "For fuck's sake, we've seen on the news that it outgrew the goddamn mount Everest! That it clearly turned sapient! That the situation has completely changed! And instead of observing and analyzing what happened, you send another part of the project to attack it and bring it back by force! It's been hours ago, and we still have no news! It probably failed! You can be damn sure that this sapient part will be pissed! And we've all seen what happens-"
A crash sound shook the room.
"-When it's pissed..." ended Seras with fatalism.
He and the commanders ran out in the base's exterior and saw every soldier in the base staring in horrified shock at something.
And said something was blue, gigantic, overmuscled, covered with pieces of a destroyed hangar, and pissed.
Bock wasn't stupid, he knew that if he approached the base in giant form, he'd get a nasty welcome committee.
So he instead went back to an amorphous form, slithered in the base undetected, got in a hangar, and then outgrew it, making a dramatic entrance and catching the entire base off-guard.
"You lost something," snarled the blue blob before "ejecting" something out of his body and on the ground.
It was the red blob that attacked him, now convulsing and twitching after spending time half assimilated by his other piece.
"I wanted to come in peace, you know. Come here to talk, explain what happened, convince you of what I wanted, negociate."
His expression darkened even more.
"But you had to be assholes and get forceful on me. Well, guess what? THAT GIVES ME THE RIGHT TO GET FORCEFUL ON YOU!!"
The roar felt like a windstorm for the humans.
"If you don't want me to get forceful on you, you'll do as I say. In three days, 8 pm, you'll send you-know-where someone. ONE person. We'll then have the conversation and negociation I intended to have with you before your dickery. You don't respect this by sending more than one person, or worse, by trying that shit trick AGAIN..."
Bock stepped on another hangar, reducing it to rubble like the other, then picked up a tank between barely two fingers, as easily as if it had been a big bug, and crushed it effortlessly.
All humans below him gulped laboriously.
"You got the message? One person, three days, 8 pm," snarled the humongous mass of goo muscle as he dropped the annihilated tank on the floor.
And the titanic rogue project stomped away, not waiting for an answer.
Shock (and more than a bit of fear) paralyzed everyone in the base a few more moments, enough for Bock to disappear in the horizon.
"Get a grip!" barked Seras, jolting everyone back in action. "I want a report on the damage on the hangar! And you two-" he snarled towards the two commanders, "-get your SNAFU back to the tank, and tell the scientists to analyze it if it needs repairs. And after that, you stay the fuck away of the SANS project. And if you ever do something like that again, I'll have you reassigned to paperwork so fast you'll die from the paper cuts!"
The two neidermeyers nodded panickedly.
"Now, if you'll excuse me, I need a fucking drink!"
And the colonel went back to his office, slamming the door behind him.
