Man I really need to get stuff uploaded. I got way more pics than I uploaded this month. At this rate I'll never get it all online lol. Anyways, I wanted to see the good eggcellent Queen Dew waking up, and I tried to do some background work. I realize beds are not fun to add in sometimes, so I'll need to improve on that in the future, and the shading just didn't work to my advantage this time around. But I have been sitting on this for too long, and I'm going to improvise a story blurb right now, so enjoy! :P

Satchel stood at the bedroom door, rubbing his head lightly. The morning haze radiated over his groggy head, and his eyes told of a night that was far from effective. The young, purple drake would have preferred spending another day or three sleeping to regain his energy, but he had a job - no, an obligation - to fulfill. Beside the purple dragon stood a full-formed azure dragoness, covered in a flowing maiden's gown and holding a tray of sweet pastries and a large slab of flank steak, cooked medium well for the mother's sake. The taller dragon looked down to the purple servant and gently bumped his side with her tail, both to get his attention and to stir his eyelids up to prevent complete collapse.
"Long night again, Satchel?" the dragon maiden chirred. Her large wings flapped twice as she tried to get a look at the tired one beside her.
"Yes...Her Highness wanted a breakdown of the kingdom's requests, and when I was done, something kept me from sleeping just right..."
"They say that the moon was full last night. Do you think that had something to do with it?"
"Perhaps. I just hope she is easy on us today. She could tell me to jump out a window and I'd probably just tumble out at this point,"
"Don't you have support? I know my maidens have been more than helpful to her when needed,"
"Perhaps I will ask Her Highness for permission. Do you think any of your maidens would be willing to help me, Lady Magda?"
The dragon looked up a moment to think, but before she could get a response, both dragons heard the groaning of royalty on the other side of the door.
Satchel brought a claw to the large wooden door, and with a single knock, their presence was immediately known.
"Urrggh...come in!"
Inside her bedroom, Queen Dew spared few expenses to acknowledge her purpose and future for the kingdom. The ceiling had been painted with royal dragons of eons past, and a tapestry hung opposite her bed, showing a similar-formed dragon as herself, holding a young dragonkin close to her chest. Dew herself lay in the bed sitting on the wall to the left of the doorway, and Her Royal Highness was visible clearly on top of the large bedding - mostly her mountain of a middle and exposed tail. There was no time to examine the room or the Queen with much focus, as the morning routine settled in for both servant dragons.
Lady Magda walked dutifully to one side of the bed, and Satchel walked to the opposite. All the while, the matriarch slowly pulled herself up to what she could equate to a seated position, though her progeny-filled belly prevented a more traditional pose. With no words, the dark-blue dragoness offered her tray to the Queen who proceeded to grab handfuls of the sweets and devour them in kind. With a sweet roll in her maw, she turned her head briefly behind her to her half-awake servant.
"News," muffled the Queen.
"I have the list you requested, it is waiting in the study for your review," his voice was calm and steady, unlike the dazed grumble heard just moments earlier. He was prepared for Her Highness.
"Good. Schedule?"
"We have no visitors from other Kingdoms for the next month or so, but we have a small meeting with some people this afternoon on the upcoming Warming Festival and a financial review at dinner. Do you want time allotted to watch the-"
"No," she cut him off, just before she grabbed the steak and ripped off a piece, groans between swallows of food. "I want time in the Nursery today. The little ones were pretty sad last time, and I want to cheer them up with their mother~" she nearly squeaked at that moment before she looked to her heavy belly.
Whether Lady Magda or Satchel objected mattered not, because Dew felt the need to be with them, her little ones. Yes, it would have been best to see her soldiers in action and to go over more of the goings-on in the kingdom, but after the last few days, she needed time to be a mother and not a Queen - or at least more mother than Queen. She placed a hand on her scaled middle, pulling down the covers to reveal more of the pregnant dome. She nodded to herself, agreeing to the silent question - yes, she had grown quite a bit overnight. She figured as much, given how groggy she felt that morning and how hard it was to get to sleep well enough. Full Moon or not, she did not have a great evening.
Taking the tray from Lady Magda's hands, she gestured the two to go outside. "Please leave me to the rest of my breakfast. I will put on a robe and be in the royal dining room in a half-hour. Go and have them prepare a double breakfast, with extra eggs."
"Yes, Your Highness."
Satchel nearly fell asleep the moment he stepped outside of her quarters, but Lady Magda grabbed him and carried him toward the kitchen.
"You really need more protein in your diet. No wonder you're so scrawny. Doesn't your dragon species usually get to like ten feet easy?"
"It is a long story, but...I don't really mind my size all too much. I would like some food, though...and sleep..."
"Well, let's get the meal started and then we can talk about our needs..."
Meanwhile, inside her room, Queen Dew placed the tray beside her and focused on her belly. It had grown a few inches outward overnight, and the weight was apparent on her bed. Running her hands across her smooth, swollen middle, she felt that twinge of nostalgia, back when the latest litter was starting to make itself present. Just like that morning, she, too, woke up, groggy and half-focused on the world around her. The hunger was intense then, as well, but her consciousness could barely focus on much more than her belly. It pushed out from her body as if nearly ready to be born, but the dragoness had much longer to carry the brood. She ran her hands along either side, the warmth from within radiating out of her body. She remembered the warmth vividly - a calming, maternal glow about all of it. It was just a shame that the motherly feeling was also accompanied by a groggy hormone-distorted lethargy that gave way to a hunger many mothers-to-be felt before.
The tray now emptied of its delights, Queen Dew emerged from her bed, one foot at a time. She ran her hands once more across her middle, knowing full well the hunger had only been held back by Magda's offering.
"Well, better get moving now...we have a lot of things to do today, right little ones?" she smiled and rubbed affectionately at her rounded belly and finally got up to start the day.

Now you know my pain for the past two years getting commissions. I still got a backlog to clear. Personal ramblings aside, it’s nice to see Dew both acting as a rule and starting to soften up a bit

Yeah, the backlog is a bear. To give you an idea, this image was from August. So, I need to do a lot of catch up work to even get to this year's backlog. Makes getting more work and getting feedback challenging when I'm half-a-year ahead of all y'all hehe.
She is starting slowly to soften, but she is still pretty hard-edged. I'm sure she will still have her sore spots for a while, anyways.
