Culture shock? No, it was quite the opposite -- Danathius was so enthused to learn about the many different ways of life that perpetuated the land of Hyrule! Its people were shaped by land's unique destiny and by its constant war between ultimate good and ultimate evil. Hylians were the most common folk, a hardy group of humanoids who refused to give in to despair. Rito, a race of anthropomorphic avians, were a proud and noble people, while the Gorons of the mountains lived humble lives steeped heavily in tradition. And there were more! Much, much more!
In meeting with folk of note, Danathius stumbled upon Kass, a Rito bard who had excellent knowledge of Hyrule and its history. Better yet, Kass seemed like a friendly fellow interested in swapping lore with the traveling magician! The burly rito agreed to meet with Danathius and discuss stories and tales of years since past, but not before Danathius began investigating a strange shrine complete with a documented ritual! Upon completing the ritual, the poor extraplanar traveler found himself the size of a mere ant! Surprised, but curious to find out what these "Minish" were, Danathius tried to find more information around the shrine...until it was decimated by a massive, avian foot crashing down upon it. The tiny temple had been utterly crushed beneath a heavy wall of Rito sole while an unaware Kass stomped around, looking for the wizard who promised to meet him. Little did the rito know that Danathius was close...right at his feet, even!
