Lileeona was born red and brown like her parents before her however she had extra features, her ears and tail were slightly larger. Due to this, almost everyone believes she was cursed including her own clan. She lived in a vibrant city that rested in a valley between two large mountains. Thick forrests surrounded the valley kept most people in and it had become a tourist spot for many royals. When the wrote of a royal arriving the city would go into action and everyone would become busy.

On such a day like this, young Lileeona desperately tried to keep up with her parents as they make their way through the city. Eventually, she loses grip of her mother robe and loses site of them, causing young Lilee to go into a panic. She began running around and quietly asking people if she has seen her mother, most of the strangers told her to bug off or that her mother purposely lost her. Finally, someone was kind enough to assist her and she began following her.
Lilee followed her through the crowded streets before they made their way to the city gates. The lady told her to calmly wait right there while she went to go find someone else to help, she never returned. The young red panda sat against the gate, waiting for the lady as she started to fall in and out of sleep. As she drifted off, she could hear a soft voice call out to her, Lilee opened her green eyes to see a lady in a green kimono with a lantern in her hand. The lady didn't look like anyone she had ever seen, she had long blue hair and her fur was white as snow, Lilee was completely memorized.

The lady smiled and moved her lantern closer and spoke softly to young Lilee, making sure she was fine and asked how long she had been out there. Lilee softly responded with a sad tone that she was lost and that no one wanted her, she even muttered the words that she was cursed. The lady slipped a long piece of silk from her kimono and handed it towards her and asked her if she would rather be with her instead of returning home. Young Lilee looked up at the silk with bright eyes, pondering if she should. No one back home would even miss her. She reached out and grabbed the silk before smiling softly up at the woman and said she would want nothing more than to get away.

The Gorgeous Lady guided the young red panda by her silk, walking slowly as they entered the foggy forest. Lilee started to get a bit scared so she quickens her step and grabbing the silk with both her paws. The lady put her lantern to the side to give the young girl ease as they travel through the dense woods. Slow they came to a meadow where a small cottage was located, the lady turned to Lilee and smiled stating that this was her home, and it was going to be hers now too. As the lady was turning around, Lilee let go of her silk and returned the smile before looking around and seeing how different everything was to what she was used to in the booming town. While she was looking around the lady began to walk towards the house and placed her lantern back in its place at her front door.

Lilee started to walk up to the house, looking at the woman as she asked her what her name was. The lady tilted her head as if she were unsure what her name was before simply saying that she could call her Kumi. The small red panda smiled happily and instantly told what her name was. Kumi opened the door to her home and stepped aside to allow Lilee to go in first, Lilee slowly entered the house and was in awe. It was like a small little country home with plants and a wide-open space with a small kitchen, living room and a loft. They both walked in and Kumi gently closed the door.

Many years had passed as Kumi raised Lilee, but would never allow any physical contact, which Lilee never understood why. Kumi was educating and training Lilee for things she was not sure of, and has she got older she started to question her mother’s reason. Lilee could see that Kumi was getting tired and weak as she aged, and she never asked her. One day after Kumi had returned for her nightly calling, Lilee stayed up late to finally ask her some much-needed questions. Their decision was one that Kumi was not ready to talk about but Lilee kept pressing the matter. Lilee wanted to know what was going on and she knew something was wrong.

Kumi smiled faintly and finally gave in, telling Lilee that she was going to replace her when it was her time. Stated that her time was coming to an end and that her place on the world was only temporary. Lilee was devasted from the news, she did not want to be a guardian, nor did she want to lose the only person that genuinely cared for her. She did not understand and stormed out of the house, even though Kumi told her not to go out tonight due to the veil of death lingering. Kumi quickly followed her, calling her back and trying to keep up with her despite how weak she had become from her night. The red panda ignored her mother’s callings and kept on walking into the dark woods.

Lilee’s anger was very overwhelming for her that she was not paying attention to anything around her, even her mother’s voice was fading into whispers. Kumi was yelling for her to come back because she knew the evil was hunting for her powers and the more, she was out of her sanctuary, the more she was putting them both in danger. Suddenly, Kumi sensed it and she started to panic knowing what was coming. She knew she was not going to be able to keep up with Lilee if she continued to walk, so she snapped her fingers, and eyes glow up and she quickly teleported behind Lilee. The red panda was still in her rage, not even realizing her mother was now behind her as she finally came to a stop in the thick of giant trees.

Kumi softly said that they needed to return home which made Lilee spun around and yell that she did not want to be a guardian, nor did she want her mother to leave her. As Lilee started to become emotional, she noticed that Kumi was in her spirit form but did not care to notice why, she just kept raging at her mother. Kumi tried to calm her daughter down as she watched around them, waiting for the beast to appear. She tried to explain that they were not safe out in the open and that they could talk about this at home however as she went to turn, a loud roar came from the darkness of the trees. Lilee snapped out of her rage when she heard the loud beast, she quickly stepped towards her mother and looked at her worried.

Kumi quickly put a shield bubble over the both of them and turned to Lilee, telling her that she wasn’t going to be able to fight off the beast in the state she was in. Slowly a large shadow like beast emerged from the darkness and begin to walk towards their shield. Lilee panicked and asked her mother what she could do as she stepped a little close after seen the monster appear from the shadows of the trees. Kumi did not say anything as she stared at the beast and then turned to face Lilee, she gave her a soft smile before simply giving her a soft goodbye. Kumi hugged her daughter and whispered to close her ear, that she needed to close her eyes, Lilee was in shock from the hug but did has she was told. Kumi smiled and cling to their hug as she her aura started to glow brighter and brighter before blinding the beast, making it retreat to the shadows once more.

Kumi weakly told Lilee to open her eyes and as soon as the red panda did, her mother fall limp against her and the bubble shield faded when they moved to the ground. Kumi opened her eyes and softly touched her daughter’s face, smiling up at her telling Lilee that she has always wanted to hug her and was glad she got one before she left. As the red panda held her mother, she noticed her fur started to change colors and a weird tingle consumed her body as she listens to her mother. She began to cry when she noticed her mother’s fur was change to a normal color as she changed to the pale colors. Lilee told her mother that she loved her and that she will try her best to keep up with her legacy. Kumi looked up at Lilee and told her that Lilee was ready because she was becoming weak and she knew this day was coming. Lilee pressed her forehead against her mother while she closed her teary eyes and started to rock as she could feel her mother’s energy fading away now due to her new powers.

Kumi slowly faded out of her daughter’s arms, only leaving her kimono and staff in front of Lilee. Lilee began to break down in tears, weeping over her mother’s clothes as she sat there in the woods. Slowly small light spirits started to appear and surrounded her, she had never seen them before. They circled around her and started to hum softly, Lilee could feel their pain that their friend was gone. This only made things worse for her as she stood up with the kimono in her arms, her eyes glancing around at the small spirits as they danced around the guardian staff. Lilee could sense that they wanted her to have it and to carry on the Guardian role, she was a bit hesitate as she reached out for it. When she grabbed the wood, all her mother’s knowledge rushed through her thoughts, tears still rolling down her face as she realized how much her mother really did. And now, it is Lilee’s turn.
