A couple days ago, my mother and I took an old Thalys model electric train out of my closet, and I was really eager to build it again! So we did, carefully fitting one piece of the circular track into the other, because it's very fragile, and it's way harder to perfectly fit one end of a rail piece exactly into the one you're supposed to connect it with than you might think. But eventually we did it. And I tried to make the mini train move by slooowly turning the circular control pad a bit, and it would move eventually, but only one mere centimetre before coming to a stop because one of its tiny wheels got off the rails. I make it sound like it wasn't fun to rebuild this train track at all, but believe me, it was! Only thing is, it doesn't work as good as it used to, since it's over ten years old at this point. How time flies, right?
My mom said that I should make a video of the moving miniature train in order to perhaps sell it to someone who might like it more than I do. And... since we put so much effort into constructing the whole thing, I'm not entirely sure if I should give it away to someone else, although I don't use it nearly as much anymore compared to when I first got it, I think for my 10th birthday or something. But it should be said that I did enjoy making it together with my mom!
Thank you so much for helping me, mom!
